Drives with more than 9 cells can be supplied with line side voltage from 2.3 kV up to 13.8 kV. Because of the unique multi-cell topology design, the SINAMICS Perfect Harmony GH180 converter does not cause any significant stress on the motor insulation or bearings. The motor side Harmonic Voltage Factor is below requirements of NEMA MG1-30 standard. Therefore, it is suitable for operation of both new and existing standard direct-on-line motors.
