Dear partners,
Siemens thank you for your confidence in Siemens products by installing ROBICON PERFECT HARMONY air-cooled first-generation inverters. This important announcement is part of our ongoing communication and aims to provide the information needed to effectively manage the installed system.
The letter is an official notice that Siemens has entered the early generation of ROBICON PERFECT HARMONY air-cooled first-generation inverters on October 31, 2016. This end-of-life notice particularly affects frequency converters produced from 1994 to 2002. Siemens acknowledges its obligation to inform our customers that they intend to discontinue products, so as to reduce the customer’s risk to the ROBICON PERFECT HARMONY air-cooled first-generation frequency converters that are still in use. At the same time, let our customers make decisions based on risks to decide whether to continue the operation of the first generation of ROBICON PERFECT HARMONY air-cooled or to modify the new Siemens MVD products. This product discontinuation and end-of-life notice only applies to the first generation of ROBICON PERFECT HARMONY air-cooled product series.
Siemens ceased production of this product in May 2003. Our standard product life cycle process requires ten (10) years of support, and as of May 2013, we have exceeded that deadline. However, as of December 31, 2015, Siemens can only provide limited support for this specific model. Although officially scrapped, Siemens still strives to provide customers with the highest level of support to help them achieve the greatest return on investment. The supply of parts and the loss of employees with ROBICON PERFECT HARMONY air-cooled drivers has posed increasingly severe challenges. Therefore, Siemens' ability to repair the equipment is limited.
Therefore, Siemens can only provide support for this product in the following situations:
All work is done as best as possible. Due to the limited number of parts, these services do not provide any warranty.
Successful repairs may not always be achievable. If repairs are not possible, the customer will bear the risk of quoting repair costs.
The customer is responsible for the goods shipped from the factory. If the goods are damaged during transportation, Siemens may not be able to repair or replace parts.
There are other SINAMIC PERFECT HARMONY Drive products based on Siemens' excellent medium-voltage battery topology and incorporating the most advanced control technology in the industry, and are still in production.
