
AMETEK acquires Siemens' power control business

AMETEK announced on April 18 that it has acquired Halmar Robicon silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) power controller and Siemens Energy and Automation related power control system technology and products.
"Halmar Robicon's advanced power control technology has been widely recognized. This technology is very suitable for AMETEK solid-state control systems and provides us with attractive opportunities to further expand our capabilities and position in the US power controller market."
