Siemens Electrical Drives (Shanghai) Ltd. was founded in 2002. The company's line of business includes the manufacturing of electrical equipment and supplies.

Siemens Electrical Drives (Shanghai) Ltd (SEDS) is dedicated to the manufacturing, development and application of medium-voltage converters. SEDS has been transformed in Nov 2005 from former ASIRobicon Electrical (Shanghai) Ltd, a subsidiary of global-leading medium voltage Perfect Harmony drive provider Robicon Corp, based in the United States as a result of Siemens AG acquiring Robicon Corp in July that year.

SEDS is located at the Gaodong Industrial Zone of Shanghai Pudong District, covering a total area of 15,000 square meters. We have strong presence in relevant technologies, with several dozens of experienced engineers, technicians and R&D experts. SEDS has acquired the certificate of ISO9001 quality guarantee system, which is strictly implemented in our manufacturing of Perfect Harmony Medium Voltage Air Cooled Drives.

Thanks to the excellent quality and outstanding performance, the products of SEDS are well accepted and widely used among various industries including power, cement, waste-water treatment, petroleum, gas,  steel, mining, Paper, and chemical etc.  Our customers, to name a few, include those key enterprises like Philips China Petroleum, South China Sea Oil Company, Conch Cement, Shanghai BaoSteel Group, Sheng Li Oilfield, Liao He Oilfield, Pan Steel, Zhu Hai BP Oil, APP Group Ning Bo Zhong Hua Paper,etc.

·Professional medium voltage drive, high quality and high reliability (include dry type integral indoor isolation transformer). High performance, very low input and output harmonic

·High-high type, direct 2-11kv output, no step up transformer is needed.

·Particular fast power cell bypass technology, VFD can keep on running at full load output as any power unit out of works.

·Robicon VFD can adapt to ±10% fluctuate of line voltage at full load full speed. VFD can continue to run under 55% line voltage (derated).

The Automation and Drives Group (A&D) of Siemens Ltd., China today holds an opening ceremony for the newly built Phase II of Siemens Electrical Drives (Shanghai) Ltd. (SEDS). The Phase II consists of a manufacturing base and a warehouse centre. Upon its completion, SEDS is able to double its production capacity and shorten delivery time to the market. As a major move taken by Siemens A&D in China's medium-voltage converter market, it enables SEDS to better serve the needs of customers and exceed customer expectation, reaffirming its strong commitment to the China market.

SEDS is located in Gaodong Industrial Zone of Pudong New Area, now covering a total area of 3,400 square meters. With the Phase II going into operation, SEDS will double its monthly production capacity to reach 100 units and thus able to satisfy the rapidly-growing demand for medium-voltage drives in China as well as in other Asian markets.

SEDS, a former subsidiary of global-leading medium voltage Air Cooled drives provider Robicon Corporate, joined Siemens in 2005 as Siemens AG acquired Robicon Corp globally. Thanks to the excellent quality and outstanding performance, SEDS' products are well accepted and widely used in various industries including oil & gas, metallurgy, water and waste water treatment, iron & steel, cement, paper, mining, public utility, etc. Meanwhile, SEDS witnessed its sales volume reaching 270 million RMB in 2007, three times that of 2005.  Now with an annual output of about 400 million RMB and still increasing steadily, SEDS has become the third-largest subsidiary in Siemens' medium-voltage drives business worldwide.

The new factory not only sets a milestone in Siemens' medium-voltage converter business development in China, but also will fortify the presence of Siemens A&D in Shanghai. To date, Siemens A&D has set up five operating companies in Shanghai, engaged in electrical drives, low-voltage power distribution, circuit protection, process analytics and electronic assembly.

Introduction:

Siemens Electrical Drives (Shanghai) Ltd is dedicated to the manufacturing and development of medium-voltage converters. Application electrical engineer is responsible for converter electrical design based on customer's requirement and application on site, problem solving during manufacturing and test before delivery.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for converter order design, including converter specification, assembly drawing, schematic diagram, test instruction and so on.

Responsible for converter manufacturing support and testing problem solving.

Responsible for design tool creation and maintain, including Auto CAD/ EPLAN drawing template, SAP configurator and design guideline.

Responsible for executing design control, engineering change request and other engineering related process

Qualification:

Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or any related majors.

2~3 years experiences for EPLAN /Auto CAD electrical, PLC/ SINAMICS Starter software used and designed electrical product.

Familiar with motor, drive, convertor, inverter or related power electronic product and know the related electric materials function and choose type.
