This importantannouncement is part of our continuing communications toprovide you with the information needed to effectivelymanage your installed systems.This letter serves as formal notification that Siemens hasbegun a phase-out of the SINAMICS PERFECT HARMONYGH180 GEN4 9 cells 40A up to 260A and GEN4 12 cellsproduct manufactured out of the Jundiaí facility as ofNovember 6, 2020. Siemens acknowledges the obligation toinform our customers of the intent to phase out older productsto enable our customers the ability to prepare for alternativesand/or assist in their product portfolio renewal process. Our standard product lifecycle process allows for 10 years ofsupport, and we will have exceeded that time frame as ofNovember 6, 2030. Siemens endeavors to provide the level ofsupport our customers demand, and we will ensure youcontinue to realize the maximum return for your investment.So please be advised, effective November 6, 2030, Siemenswill no longer be able to guarantee service of this particularmodel. The SINAMICS PERFECT HARMONY GH180 product willcontinue to be offered well into the future, but repaircomponent availability and advancing technology are drivingthe need to phase-out the SINAMICS PERFECT HARMONYGH180 GEN4 drive. The goal of communicating thisinformation is to help you to develop a life cycle managementplan for your installed systems, with guidance from Siemens,which best fits your business situation and objectives. Siemens will provide an opportunity for you to purchaseremaining components we have in our inventory, and ourservice department will provide technical support until you areable to transition into a new generation of our SINAMICSPERFECT HARMONY GH180 product line. The new generationis based on the same time-proven topology that you arefamiliar with but has incorporated the latest technologicaladvances available in the industry today. Incentives to upgradeyour drives, as well as future support on the latest SINAMICSPERFECT HARMONY GH180 generation, will be offered to assistin your transition.
